Size Charts & Information

There are different categories of sizing throughout our online catalog. Contemporary Sizing is roomier than a junior size and designed to fit the 20 to 30 year old comfortably. Midwest Sizing is designed to comfortably fit the curvy women of the Midwest. Finally, we carry many styles of Missy clothing. Missy clothing is designed for the curvy woman wanting more room in areas such as the shoulders and waist. Missy clothing also tends to be more modest styling.

Sizing stated by the manufacturers are in each item description, as well as notes regarding what we found pertinent to its fit. The following charts are merely guidelines, and there can be no guarantee as to how something will fit each individual woman.

Generally speaking, I enjoy the fit of a size Large in Contemporary sizing and a Medium in Missy sizing. However, if the contemporary item is a generous cut, I often will prefer the Medium size.

Midwest Size Guide

Because size can vary between brands, and even within brands, these measurements are general guidelines. Please see item descriptions for additional guidance on specific pieces. Most of our items run true to size unless noted otherwise.

Measuring Tips:

Bust

To measure your bust, wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust. Do not pull too tightly; the tape measure should be snug but comfortable.

Waist

For waist measurement, wrap the tape around the narrowest part of your waist.

Hips

Measure the fullest part of your hips, approximately 7" down from your natural waist, holding the tape evenly.
